To kick off the celebration of International Day to Fight Breast Cancer, on October 19th, and as a symbol of the commitment to be taken by governments and civil society to ensure that all women have timely access to early detection of breast cancer, a ceremony was held at Alcazar of Chapultepec Castle.  This event was chaired by the Constitutional President of the United Mexican States, Felipe Calderón Hinojosa, and his wife, Margarita Zavala Gómez del Campo , President Citizen's Advisory Council for the National Integrated Family.  One of the highlights of the ceremony was the pink lighting of the Chapultepec Castle, standing as Mexico’s symbol of  a nation joining the global commitment in support of this campaign. As part of this momentous ceremony, I had the esteemed honor of presenting the keynote at this event - sharing my own personal commitment to the cause. Alongside me, and showing his commitment to the fight against present cancer was Mexico Secretary of Health, and GTF.CCC member, Salomon Chertorivski Woldenberg.  This event is sure to be one of the highlights of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Mexico.
